Işık University was established in 1996 by one of the oldest educational institutions in Türkiye, Feyziye Schools Foundation, which was initially named as Feyz-i Sıbyan School in 1885. Later, it adopted the name of Işık with the approval of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. As one of the well-established foundation universities of Türkiye, Işık University today offers high-quality education through 3 faculties with 22 undergraduate programs, 1 vocational school with 9 associate degree programs, and 1 graduate school with 24 programs. The University has approximately 8,000 students and 1,000+ of them are international students coming from 68 different countries.
